Trained by the world’s leading authority on gemology, the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), our gemologist has performed gem identification on thousands of faceted and rough colored gemstones, and antique and contemporary jewelry pieces.
As a buyer, you make your purchase on I Do Now I Don’t with complete confidence. Our gemologist certifies that the diamond and gemstone jewelry is exactly as described in the seller’s listing. This evaluation is particularly important because of the variability in the 4Cs of diamond value (color, clarity, cut, and carat weight).
The two letters after a gemologist’s name—G.G.—stand for Graduate Gemologist, and are recognized worldwide as the mark of a highly trained and ethical professional in the jewelry industry.
In addition to creating the 4Cs of diamond value (color, clarity, cut, and carat weight), the GIA has graded some of the most famous diamonds in the world, including the Hope Diamond (45.52 carats), the Taylor-Burton Diamond (69.42 carats) and the De Beers Millennium Star (203.04 carats).
